Borden’s Eagle Brand Condensed Milk Die-Cut Advertising Sign

c. 1900s-1910s; Borden's Condensed Milk Company - New York City, NY

Die-cut lithographed advertising sign featuring the classic Borden's Eagle Brand imagery, centered on a cherubic child in a soft blue dress holding a can of condensed milk while pointing toward it. The composition is framed by an ornate, scrollwork border in warm gold and brown tones, with "Borden's" arched across the top and "Eagle Brand Condensed Milk" prominently displayed. The lower banner reads "Has no equal for infants and children," reinforcing its early 20th century marketing message. The reverse displays a secondary advertisement for Borden's Peerless Evaporated Cream with product illustrations and detailed promotional text, along with a central hanging hole at the crest.

Shows moderate age-related wear including surface staining, scattered discoloration, and edge wear. A visible tear is present along the lower left edge of the border, along with minor abrasions and light creasing consistent with age and handling. Reverse shows heavier toning and spotting.
